Akhirnya kesampaian makan di Spiegel. Nyoba waktu persis sebelum makan siang. Mulai dari staff yang greet di awal, waitress semuanya ramah2 banget. Servicenya the best. Ambiencenya nyaman banget untuk dining & bar. Pesan truffle fries, lasagna, tiramisu & nyoba negroni cocktail. Everything was worth the price. Free welcome foccacia bread.

Spiegel ini salah satu tempat yang paling punya "nyawa" di Kota Lama Semarang. Bangunannya ikonik banget, peninggalan sejarah tapi interiornya dikemas modern tanpa menghilangkan kesan klasiknya. Setiap kali ke sini, auranya selalu dapet. Buat kita yang lagi wisata, tempat ini wajib banget masuk list karena lokasinya pas banget di jantung Kota Lama—capek jalan-jalan, langsung neduh di sini sambil foto-foto cantik karena setiap sudutnya estetik parah. Kalau bawa keluarga juga nyaman banget. Langit-langitnya tinggi jadi nggak terasa sesak, dan mejanya banyak yang besar. Menunya juga "aman" buat lidah siapa aja, dari anak-anak sampai orang tua pasti cocok sama makanannya. Buat urusan bisnis atau sekadar meeting santai, Spiegel ini juara sih. Vibe-nya profesional tapi nggak kaku. Suasananya cukup tenang buat ngobrol serius, tapi tetep kerasa sophisticated buat bikin klien terkesan. Kopinya enak, makanannya konsisten, dan pelayanannya sigap. Pokoknya kalau ke Semarang belum mampir ke Spiegel, rasanya kayak ada yang kurang.

Nyobain yg baru di spiegel bar & resto setelah gabung dengan tavern grup, menunya jadi lebih specific italian food, cocok buat yg suka fine dinning berdua dengan pasangan. Suasananya romantis cahaya redup dan dekorasi masa kolonial belanda yg masih tetap dipertahankan membuat kita kembali ke masalalu. Overall hampir semua makanannya enak, pizzanya yummy, nyobain bistik brisketnya juga enak, harganya juga sangat mewah. Utk menu breakfast ada roti2an dan sandwich tp tidak ada burger (khas america).

Jujur, Spiegel nggak pernah gagal sih. Kemarin nyobain Squid Ink Pasta (lupa namanya hikdd) beneran gurih dan kerasa banget. Terus yang bikin kaget, Nasi Gorengnya juga juara, bumbunya dapet banget dan porsinya pas. Intinya kalau makan di sini tuh nggak usah ragu, soalnya hampir semua menunya emang enak-enak. Tempatnya juga cakep banget, bersih, dan estetik parah karena gedung tua gitu kan. Plus, pelayannya ramah banget dan gercep. Pokoknya paket lengkap kalau lagi main ke Kota Lama Semarang

Kedua kali kesini ….makanan oke….minuman oke….service good …..kebersihan oke…. Toilet nya juga bagus….. dapat roti sebagai complementary…. Waktu datang lumayan ramai jadi harus waiting list. Setelah duduk dan pesan, ada complimentary focaccia bread. Kami pesan aglio olio dan short ribs cabe hijau. Suka banget sama pastanya yg berasa gurih banget dan oily tp ngga too much.. sementara untuk short ribsnya dagingnya empuk gurih dengan sambal cabe hijau yg enak banget. Ada sedikit kekurangan di kuahnya waktu itu krn sedikit keasinan, tapi masih aman aja kok kalau dimakan sama nasinya. Waitressnya jg sangat ramah dan super helpful buat kami yg mau pesen ini itu tapi gak cukup krn meja kecil hahaha. Awalnya duduk di smoking room tapi setelah agak lama kita masuk ke yg non smoking room dan pesen pizza yg cinque formaggi. Jujur buat aku pizza ini menu yg paling aku suka diantara makanan yg dicobaaa, hot honeynya bener bener pas buat nemenin cheese di topping pizzanya. Suasananya nyaman banget dengan live music yg menyenangkan. Akan mengusahakan untuk berkunjung lagi tiap ke Semarang

Dateng ke sini pas arus balik lebaran, hopefully still relate. SUPER LOVE! Saya ngerasa puas banget makan di sini, mulai dari greeter yang langsung nyamperin begitu masuk. Oke banget welcome breadnya, buat nunggu makanan yang pasti yaa. Tampilan makanan, rasa makanan, pelayanan, dan atmosphere superb!. Semua sesuai sama harga makanannya. Ternyata saat itu lagi on training yaa, kalo dari kepuasan sebagai pelanggan rasanya terpraktikkan dengan baik. Harga pastry di sini tergolong murah, seneng pas liat serasa nemu hidden gem. Bakal balik lagi kalo ke Semarang sih.

Salah satu restoran high class dan paling terkenal di daerah Semarang. Letaknya persis di tengah-tengah kota lama yang jadi salah satu maskotnya kota Semarang sebagai tempat wisata. Bangunannya yang bermodelkan jaman dahulu menjadi daya tarik sendiri. Bagian dalamnya menggunakan design modern tapi juga classic. Food: untuk harga makanannya terbilang not bad tidak terlalu mahal untuk resto sekelas ini. Untuk pilihan makanannya ga cuman western food tapi juga ada indonesian. Untuk kualitas rasa jujur so-so aja, agak expect lebih dari tempat ini to be honest tapi bukan di titik ga enak. Environment: tempatnya lumayan besar dan banyak spot bagus untuk foto. Lampunya model kuning remang jadi terlihat lebih mewah. Jarak antar meja tidak terlalu berdekatan jadi kalau ngobrol cukup bisa ada privasi dan tidak mudah terdengar

Tempat bagus, luas, ac dingin. Sy duduk depan tangga dkt toilet, meja isi kursi 4. Tokong perbaiki ducting AC nya bocor netes2 kena pas duduk di kursi. Sudah sy infokan ke staf. Staf yg layani kami itu ramah dan handal cekatan, cewe langsing. Utk risotto terlalu lembek, jd ga enak. Daging sapinya super empuk. Namun rasa sausnya kurang pas yah utk jenis risotto. Untuk saladnya sih enak sesuai selera namun agak sdikit keasaman bagi saya. Pizza oke. Minuman yg campuran teh dan buah dll itu enak2. Boleh dicoba. Jam 8 malam ada live music. Sudah menjadi wishlist sejak lama dan akhirnya kesampaian, lokasinya pun sangat dekat dari hotel tempat saya menginap. Saya mulai dari kelemahannya dulu, yaitu: NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS. Jadi, sebenarnya ibu saya bisa saja turun dulu dari kursi roda dan naik satu undakan untuk masuk ke dalam restoran. Tapi surprisingly, dua orang pria personnel dari restoran langsung berinisiatif mengangkat kursi roda dengan ibu saya masih duduk di kursinya… Wow! Surprise juga. Jadi, untuk masuk ke dalam areanya ada dua anak tangga yang harus dilewati. Yang pertama di pintu masuk, lalu ada lagi setelah melewati pintu masuk. Kebetulan kami datang di hari kerja, sehingga kami bisa masuk tanpa perlu reservasi. Sebaiknya reservasi dulu jika berniat datang di akhir pekan. Karena menjelang sore, tempat ini pun mulai dipenuhi oleh pengunjung. Kami pesan: Spaghetti Carbonara Alla Romana (IDR 85k) Three Pepper Chicken (IDR 75K) To be honest, kurang cocok ya sama main course-nya. Mungkin karena saya kelamaan foto jadi cepat dingin dan mempengaruhi rasanya? Untuk dessert kami pesan tiramisu (diinformasikan ada alkoholnya) & tentu saja kami juga pesan gelato. Sementara untuk minumnya kami pesan flower power dan honey bee biar fresh deh. Pelayanan mereka? Jelas baik banget dong, sejak dari awal kami baru mau masuk hingga kami selesai makan. Ada durasi jam makan antara 90 – 120 menit (lupa persisnya). Ohya kami dapat garlic bread buat appetizer. Tempatnya sendiri spacious dan penerangannya cukup, plus jendelanya besar-besar, jadi ada pencahayaan juga dari luar. Pas ke sini, lantai dua tidak digunakan untuk seating para pengunjung. Buat yang demen foto2; tempatnya ok banget di sini.

Menu hidangan kebanyakan Italian food, come to my surprise. Walau masih ada hidangan 'fusion' Nusantara karena anak sy pesan 'Nasi Goreng Spiegel' dengan sumsum barbecue. (Lainnya ada Nasi Ayam Semarang dan Smoke Rib Cage Ijo). Menurut pramusaji yang melayani kami, Spiegel akan full 'cibo Italiano' segera. Prego! 👌 Dua kali dine in di Spiegel sebelumnya tidak sreg buat saya. Jadi pas ke Semarang dan teman² bilang chef-nya berganti, saya ingin juga mencoba makan lagi di Spiegel. Saya pesan keju Burrata sebagai pembuka. Disiram minyak zaitun dan secercah saus pesto, ada irisan yomat, acar paprika, daun aragula dan kacang walnut. Duh, enak segar membangkitkan selera! Keju Burrata ini kalau nggak pintar memadunya dengan dressing dan elemen lain, jadi 'blah' aja. Saya juga pesan Tagliatelle Di Manzo, pasta lebar bersaus jamur dengan grilled rib eye Black Angus di atasnya. Enak sekali! Sampai tandas dilahap. Jyo juga pesan Pizza Carbonara yang dipanggang pakai tungku kayu. Sebagai 'dolci' saya berbagi Tiramisu dengan si anak lanang karena porsinya yang besar. Lembut di lidah, rasa krim keju mascarpone menyusup dengan elegan, manis dan seksi 😋😁.

Bangunan yang berdiri dari tahun 1885, kmdian direstorasi kembali di 2015 mnjadi slh satu tempat yg patut dikunjungi pas lg di Semarang. Suasana kental arsitektur jaman dulu masih terasa & dibuat sangat nyaman! Rasanya kurang kalau gak ngunjungin Spiegel. Pas ke sana sore hari masih gak trlalu ramai, jadi gak perlu antri dan bisa menikmati kopinya dgn tenang. Ada waktu maksimum dine in 2 jam (ckp fair krna lmyn ramai). Bisa reservasi juga. Restoran legendaris di Kota Lama Semarang, ud beberapa kali ngunjungin Spiegel, kunjungan bulan Mei 2024 ini merupakan kunjungan pertama setelah restoran ini direnovasi beberapa bulan lalu. Kali ini interior lebih lapang, pencahayaan lebih terang. Btw restoran ini selalu rame, bahkan di hari biasa sekalipun. Tadi pesen Spaghetti Alla Pescatore, Pizza Anatra Affumicata, sama Chamomile Tea. Spagetinya ini pake tinta cumi dan kerasnya pas (ga benyek atw nggak terlalu keras di gigi), topping kerang cukup banyak, ada dua potong udang yg gede. Pizza Anatra Affumicata dagingnya smokey, kejunya lumayan kerasa dan berlimpah, satu loyang ada enam potong. Chamomile tea disajikan dengan air panas, bisa refill maksimal 2 kali. Pelayanan tanggap dan cepat, tadi pas datang dikasih makanan pembuka bruschetta 3 potong dengan mentega. Dibanding Spiegel sebelum renovasi, desain menu terbarunya lebih sederhana tapi lbh enak dilihat jg karena semua informasi terangkum baik dlm 1 buklet menu gitu, jadinya pas ngeliat pesanan pun bs lbh cepat n ga ribet. Overall Spiegel ttp jd salah satu restoran favorit yg mesti dikunjungin d Semarang, khususnya di Kota Lama.

Kalo ke Kota Lama Semarang wajib dine in di resto ini. Berada di jalan utama kota lama, disamping taman Srigunting, gak jauh dari Gereja Blenduk. Resto ini bernaung di gedung tua yg bertuliskan "Spiegel" di bagian atapnya, yg artinya cermin. Ambiens resto kental dengan suasana western, krn menu yg disajikan hampir semuanya western menu. Tempatnya cukup luas dgn mempertahankan bangunan aslinya, nyaman. Kami pesan : pizza formaggi, tagliatelle di manzo, fettucini spinach, spagheti carbonara, dan ice cream --- semuanya enak! Buat sy ter-dabest adalah fettucini nya, dengan salmon di atasnya dgn sentuhan rasa creamy spinach, yumm banget👌. Tempat makan terdebest di Semarang, sudah ada sejak 18xx. Terletak di Kota Lama Semarang dengan menempati bangunan tua juga. Menu cukup punya banyak variasi dari nasi, pasta, steak, burger, maupun lainnya dengan rate harga 75rb sampai ratusan ribu atau jutaan. Saya datang ke cafe Spiegel siang hari awalnya bertiga sambil nunggu 2 teman lain untuk reuni tipis tipis dengan teman kuliah..kami pesan Cinquie Formaggi pizza dan minuman life wire. Makanan yg sudah dicoba dan rekomen: tiramisu, orecchiette, pizza (dough nya enak). Makanan yg kurang cocok: semacam risol yg isinya daging cincang, lupa namanya apa. Makanan disini enaaaakk banget!! Kita order 3 appetizer dan 2 steak, semuanyaaa enaaak! Must order itu beef carpacio, mussels bowl, sama burrata saladnya! Super recommended! Kita juga order 300 gram ribeye dan 400 gram wagyu flat iron. Bener bener empuk, wangi, enak, dan very worth the money. Harganya kalau dijakarta bisa 2x lipet kayaknya. Minumannya juga enak enak! Salah satu cafe yang wajib dikunjungi jika berkunjung ke kota lama..bangunan yg unik, instagramable dan menu2 yg cukup bervariasi. Di dalam cafe disediakan tempat duduk kursi dan sofa..jika ingin tempat duduk sofa ada minimal pemesanan yaitu 150rb/org dewasa (anak2 tidak dihitung). Hal ini dikarenakan tempat duduk sofa yg terbatas dan besar sofanya. Jika duduk dikursi biasa, tidak ada minimal pemesanan. Kami memesan beberap menu, antara lain Quiche Salmon Spinach, Wagyu Pho, Croissant beef and cheese..ada roti welcome freenya juga (tapi kami tidak tau untuk dapat welcome free ada syaratnya atau tidak). Menu yang paling favorit bagi kami adalah, Quiche Salmon Spinachnya..karna sama sekali tidak eneg, krimnya sangat gurih enak...sayangnya kurang banyak hehe..Quichenya enak ada potongan salmonnya dan bayam..merupakan perpaduan yg pas lumer dimulut ketika dioleskan dg krimnya.. Untuk Wagyu Phonya rasanya light, standar rasanya..tapi porsinya cukup sangat mengenyangkan bagi kami.. Untuk Croissant beef and cheesenya menurut kami cukup murah dg harga 29rb..kulit croissantnya terasa gurih dan kriuk.. Roti welcome freenya juga enak..cukup dioles dg butter. Overall, cafe yg nyaman untuk nongkrong, selfie2 dan menikmati hidangan western... Akan kembali lagi kesini.

Tiap taun ada acara ke Semarang pasti mampir. Pertama kesini taun 2022, trs 2023, dan terakhir kmrn Mei 2024 ternyata udah beda konsep. Sekarang kayak ada toko wine sendiri yang dulu kayaknya dipake buat gelato. Tapi makanannya semakin variatif dan tentu saja selalu enak sih. Minumannya juga pas di lidah, kebetulan dari taun ke taun selalu minum kopinya dan selalu enak. Yang pasti setelah capek jalan2 di Kota Tua bakal mampir sini buat istirahat makan sekalian ngadem. Lokasinya di kawasan Kota Lama dekat dengan Taman Srigunting, bangunan Marba & Gereja Blenduk. Parkir bisa di parking area sebelah restonya. Walaupu jalanan kawasan kota lama ramai dan padat namun begitu masuk restonya ambience nya akan terasa beda. Tempat duduknya lumayan banyak, ada bar table di tengah. Variasi minuman dan makanannya lumayan banyak (mostly western food). Rasa makanannya enak. Harganya pricey but worthed dengan vibesnya yang cozy ditengah2 keramaian kota Lama. Staff ramah. Okelah, untuk sekali-kali hang out dengan keluarga atau teman. Update 19Mei Kesini lagi setelah renovasi karena katanya jadi lebih bagus. Perubahannya yang paling terasa sih dari pintu masuknya yang pindah dan tempat duduk di dekat jendela dekat jalan berkurang dan spacenya jadi kasir dan stall pastry/kue, dan karena mungkin ditambah tempat duduk jadi terasa sempit jarak antar mejanya. Variasi makanannya sepertinya juga ada perubahan.

Spiegel ini letaknya sangat strategis karena ada di kota lama dan dekat sekali dengan stasiun tawang jadi buat yang mau travelling ke Semarang, @spiegelbistro ini bisa jadi salah satu tempat makan & nongkrong setelah atau sebelum kalian naik kereta! Dengan ambience kota lama yang unik, design bagunan Spiegel juga tetap mempertahankan bentuknya. Area di dalam cukup luas dan lengkap juga fasilitasnya. Kalau pagi ke sore aktivitasnya lebih banyak yang makan atau nongkrong jadi walaupun smoking indoor tapi ga berasa kok. Aku kesini coba mocktail dan tiramisunya, aku suka kedua menunya. Cafe restoran dengan suasana sangat nyaman di area kota lama Semarang. Parkir depan ada valet jika susah dapat parkir. Restoran sering penuh jadi lebih baik reservasi atau menunggu waiting list didalam. Makanan ada masakan european dan indonesian serta ada welcome snack berupa roti.
