Tekstur bomboloni-nya lembut, manisnya juga sopan banget di mulut. Isiannya full. Ada juga yang versi asin, favoritku Chicken Mushroom. Total ada 14 rasa, kata mbak-nya. Harganya start 7rb-an. Buka Selasa-Minggu pkl 10.00 - 20.00, dan kalo Minggu ada di Sunmor UGM. Pengen red velvet, tapi sold out :') Keknya emang kudu balik kesana lagi sih

I’ll start with a small confession: I’m not a donut person. I don’t usually enjoy overly sweet things, and most donuts feel like biting into flavored air. So when I say something is good, it really has to earn it. I visited Melt Butter twice to try a range of their bomboloni, going once right after opening (around 10 a.m.) and again later in the day. One thing they absolutely got right is the dough. These bomboloni are beautifully fluffy but still dense enough to feel satisfying. You’re not just chewing on air, there’s substance, and each bite feels intentional. The sweetness level is also generally well-balanced, which I really appreciate. ⭐ First Visit (Fresh Batch – 10 a.m.) Tried: Double Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Lotus Biscoff, Red Velvet ✨️Lotus Biscoff & Peanut Butter (Favorites) These two are the stars of the show. The flavors are rich, clear, and balanced. You can actually taste the peanut butter and Biscoff, not just sugar pretending to be them. Absolutely divine, and the reason I’d come back again. ✨️Double Chocolate This one was a letdown. Compared to the others, it tasted flat and noticeably sweeter. I expected depth, but it felt one-note. ✨️Red Velvet This didn’t really deliver on the “red velvet” promise. It tasted more like a regular bomboloni with a cheese filling. Speaking of the filling, it leans more toward a cheese spread rather than true cream cheese. It lacks that signature tang and instead has a thicker, slightly savory profile. Not bad, just not what you’d expect from something labeled “red velvet.” ——— ⭐️Second Visit (Around 5 p.m.) Tried: Matcha, Tiramisu, Coffee Caramelo (+ repeat Lotus Biscoff) ✨️Tiramisu This one comes with a fun little pipette of coffee liquid that you inject into the donut. Cute idea, but the flavor didn’t follow through. It mostly tasted like the same cheese filling with a faint coffee aroma. Not very “tiramisu” at all. ✨️Coffee Caramelo Again, more aroma than flavor. I could smell coffee, but barely taste it. There were bits of what seemed like caramelized popcorn inside, but they were soggy (which is expected in a cream filling). Overall, it didn’t stand out. ✨️Matcha The most confusing one. Instead of matcha, it tasted slightly sour, almost lemon-like. There was a hint of matcha bitterness and aroma, but not enough to define it. This might be a freshness issue since I bought it later in the day, but still worth noting. Anyways. I feel like this place shines brightest when it keeps things simple and lets strong flavors lead. The Lotus Biscoff and Peanut Butter are genuinely excellent and worth the trip on their own. Some of the more “complex” flavors feel like they get lost in translation, either overshadowed by the filling or not fully developed. That said, this wouldn’t stop me from going back. I’d just stick to what they clearly do best. Verdict: Come for the texture, stay for the Lotus Biscoff and Peanut Butter. The rest? A bit of a flavor lottery.
